These Boots Were Made for Walking

After my first night in Vegas, I was ready to work. We’re exhibiting at the Las Vegas Convention Center so I pretty much work the booth while visitors come by. Katy and Meg arrived on Tuesday around 2 pm so I called it a day and took off to meet them at the monorail station. It doesn’t matter if you take the monorail….there is SO MUCH walking in Vegas. Plus, they’re not convenient as much as you think they would be. We headed over to Ceasar’s Palace after taking vodka shots and had lunch at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago. We shared 3 dishes and they were quite delicious.

From there…I went back to my room, changed, and back down to the strip I went for a company dinner at The Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Whew…do you notice something we do a lot of here? Hopefully all the walking burns off all the eating!

I opted out of the Bellagio water fountain show with the group because I’d rather see it with the girls or Ric than 8 old men and some of their families. The girls had gotten us on the guestlist for Lavo at the Palazzo. After wishing Ed a Happy Birthday, we changed and back to the strip we went for some dancing. Our last drink were also the cheapest…$4.50 for three vodka shots with pineapple chasers at the Casino Royale. I’m very convinced the shots here made me and Meg sick.

We were in bed by around 2:30 am and I woke up at 6:30 am for work. While the girls spent the day at the pool, I yawned myself to death at the convention. Luckily for us, it was our last day so we were all ready to go. After it ended…we headed over to the Wynn for the Buffet. Yum…I’m not much of a buffet eater, but if you pace yourself right….it’s totally worth it. We stayed there for about 2 hours…. trying absolutely everything!

I already miss them, but I’m actually waiting for Ricardo to arrive while I’m writing this post. I actually need to pack up and head over to the Venetian to check in…and once he gets here….we’ll definitely be grabbing lunch…yum…more eating! I think I might be over Vegas for awhile after this…..to be continued 🙂
